There is no comparing grief because everyone is different.
Processing the pain, sadness, loss, longing, anger, loneliness and devastation will be as individual as we are people. Sometimes words aren’t enough because the pain is too deep.
LISTENING is one of the most important things you can receive: You are allowed the space and freedom to cry and talk about your loved ones without interruption. Our reaction is to try and ‘fix’ them but grief takes TIME, PATIENCE and LOVE.
Most people go through a grieving process. The key to victory is an understanding of the difference between a normal, balanced grieving process and a spirit of grief that will try to attach itself to the hurting person. One helps the grieving person get better with the passing of time; the other causes him to get worse and sink deeper and deeper into the pit of despair.
